- A Field Crew Fabricator is responsible for traveling to customer sites assembling fabricated components for the Food, Dairy, and Cheese Industries.
About the role
D.R. Tech is looking for full-time experienced Stainless-Steel Fitter and TIG Welder to join our travel installation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fitting, fabricating, and TIG welding stainless steel piping and equipment used in sanitary food processing systems. This position requires frequent travel to client sites across the country.

Qualifications
- Install and fit stainless steel piping systems according to sanitary food-grade specifications.
- Perform TIG welding on stainless steel (primarily 304 & 316) to a high sanitary standard.
- Read and interpret isometric drawings, P&IDs, and blueprints.
- Assemble and install processing equipment, including tanks, valves, pumps, and conveyors.
- Ensure compliance with sanitary standards and industry codes (3-A).
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other trades to ensure timely project completion.
- Conduct pressure testing and inspection of completed welds and systems.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at job sites.
- 3+ years of experience in food process piping and TIG welding (stainless steel).
- Proficient in sanitary welding techniques (orbital or manual TIG).
- Ability to work from heights, in confined spaces, and around food-grade environments.
- Strong understanding of food industry sanitary requirements.
- Ability to travel extensively and work overtime/weekends as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- OSHA 10/30 or other relevant safety certifications preferred.
- Ability to pass weld tests and background screening.
